Jumpsuits are one of my favourite pieces of clothing, but I know I’m not the only one who has questions about how to style a jumpsuit. From how to accessorise a jumpsuit, to different styles of jumpsuit, to how to wear jumpsuits for different occasions, to what shoes to pair with a jumpsuit, I’m sure I’m not alone.

I’ve always been a fan of fancy jumpsuits, and how one piece can create a complete outfit. It’s easy to dress nicely in a jumpsuit, and like a dress, it’s one and done.

I’m also a fan of travelling in a jumpsuit. My summer travel outfits consist of bright casual jumpsuits, which are easy to style and pack!

Jumpsuits can be a bit intimidating and if you don’t wear them properly, they can make you look short or wider than you actually are. There’s a reason you see black jumpsuits and white ones. They’re easier to wear and you don’t have to worry about looking like a fashion retard in a crazy printed jumpsuit. You’ll usually look stylish and chic in black or white jumpsuits.

As with most of my clothes, I prefer the classic and elegant jumpsuits. I love the color, the print, and the different jumpsuit textures. With my petite frame, I need to be careful or the jumpsuits can swallow me whole!

Let’s take a look at how to wear jumpsuits and the points you need to remember next time you’re putting together your jumpsuit outfit.

When shopping for a jumpsuit, it’s important to buy one that fits you perfectly. You want to look sharp and put together, and you don’t want to wear something that’s too tight or loose. Too tight and you might end up looking like Catwoman, while too loose and you’ll lose your shape and feel like your body is drowning in the jumpsuit.

The white jumpsuit that I’m wearing in this picture is a classic halter style jumpsuit. It has a cinch waist and wide leg, and it’s not too big and not too small. The halter top shows off the perfect amount of skin, and the waist is accentuated.

I always shop at Nordstrom for the best jumpsuits, so that’s the first place to start looking for the perfect jumpsuit for you.

I must emphasize that you don’t want to lose your figure. Most jumpsuits come with a cloth belt that matches the color of your jumpsuit, or you can just add your belt and cinch it at the waist. This is an easy way to add a touch of femininity to your jumpsuit and give you a curvy silhouette.

I used a white cloth belt in this jumpsuit. I doubled wrapped the white belt to accentuate my waist.

I could have added a gold belt or a black belt to complete the look, but I just wanted to show you that you don’t need to look super stylish in jumpsuits.

Most of the jumpuits that I saved have matching cloth belts.

I love adding details to my outfits! The white jumpsuit can look great on its own, but I want to show you how easy it is to add a blazer. If you’re not wearing a jumpsuit before, adding a blazer makes you feel more comfortable. A blazer will break up the look and add a layer to make your jumpsuit more delicate.

When choosing a jacket or blazer, go for one that complements the jumpsuit and matches the occasion. This jumpsuit can be worn to a cocktail party, a formal dinner or a fancy drinks party with friends. Think about where you’re going to be wearing your jumpsuit and pick a blazer that will either elevate your jumpsuit or make it more casual
